This Privacy Policy explains how VS Beauty LLC, doing business as Beauty Republic (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information about you when you visit www.beautyrepublicma.com (the “Site”), book services, or purchase products for delivery in the United States.

1. Information we collect

We collect information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked to you. This includes:

  • Contact and Profile Information: Your name, email address, phone number, and any information you provide when creating an account or booking an appointment.
  • Service and Health Information: To ensure your safety and the quality of our services, we collect details regarding your health history, allergies, skin sensitivities, and hair or skin conditions. We also maintain records of your service history, preferences, and technical formulas (such as hair color or treatment notes).
  • Payment and Gift Card Information: Payments are processed securely through Mangomint and its integrated payment processors. When you book an appointment, purchase a gift card, or save a card on file, your payment card information is collected directly by Mangomint or its payment partners. We do not store full credit card numbers or CVV codes on our servers. We only have access to “tokenized” information, such as the last four digits of the card and the expiration date.
  • Communications: Information you provide when you contact us for support, send us a message through our website, or respond to our surveys.
  • Information Collected Automatically: When you visit our Site, we automatically collect your IP address, device type, browser type, and information about how you interact with our website via cookies and pixels.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide the Site and services (including booking, orders, shipping, returns, and appointment management)
  • Respond to inquiries and provide customer support
  • Prevent fraud, secure the Site, and debug
  • Understand Site performance and improve user experience
  • Measure advertising performance and (where enabled) support advertising/retargeting

3. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

We use technologies such as cookies, pixels, and similar tools. We use:

  • Google Tag Manager to manage website tags
  • Google Analytics to understand Site usage
  • Meta/Facebook Pixel to measure ad performance and support advertising/retargeting (when enabled)

Your choices: You can manage optional tracking technologies, including cookies used for analytics and advertising, through the “Your Privacy Choices” link in the footer of our Site. This link allows you to opt out of certain non-essential cookies and advertising-related sharing where applicable.

Global Privacy Control (GPC): If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of certain advertising-related tracking where required or applicable. California guidance explains that covered businesses that sell or share personal information must provide an opt-out mechanism and that users may submit opt-out requests via a user-enabled global privacy control like GPC.

Do Not Track: Except as described above with respect to Global Privacy Control (GPC), our Site does not currently respond to other “Do Not Track” browser signals.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only as necessary to run our business, including:

  • Mangomint: We share information with Mangomint to manage online booking, client profiles, appointment scheduling, payment processing, and gift card issuance and redemption.
  • Service Providers: We work with third parties who provide website hosting, email delivery, SMS appointment reminders, and analytics (such as Google Analytics).
  • Advertising Partners: We may share limited information with partners like Meta (Facebook/Instagram) to measure the effectiveness of our ads and to show you relevant services.
  • Legal & Safety: We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our salon policies (such as no-show or cancellation fees), or to protect the safety of our staff and clients.

5. Sensitive Personal Information

Some of the information we collect, such as health history, allergies, skin sensitivities, and service treatment notes, may be considered “sensitive personal information” under certain state privacy laws. We collect and use this information solely to provide safe and effective salon services, maintain accurate service records, and comply with legal and professional obligations. We do not sell, share, or use sensitive personal information for targeted advertising.

6. SMS/Text Messaging and Communication

By providing your mobile phone number and opting in to receive messages, you consent to receive automated and manual text messages (SMS) from Beauty Republic. These messages may be sent through various third-party platforms (such as Mangomint or its integrated messaging providers) or directly from our salon staff.

  • Types of Messages: You may receive appointment confirmations, 24-hour reminders, digital receipts, waitlist notifications, and occasional marketing promotions.
  • Opt-Out: You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just reply “STOP” to any text message you receive from us. After you send the message “STOP,” we will send you one final SMS to confirm that you have been unsubscribed.
  • Help: If you are experiencing issues with our messaging program, you can reply with the keyword “HELP” for more assistance, or contact us directly at privacy@beautyrepublicma.com.
  • Privacy of SMS Data: We value your privacy. Mobile information and “opt-in” data collected for the purpose of SMS communication will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
