Dermaplaning is a non-invasive, effective, and completely painless exfoliation after which you will see immediate results. During dermaplaning facial treatments, an esthetician gently removes the outermost layer of dead skin and peach fuzz with a scalpel. When combined with light chemical peels, it allows better product penetration, improves skin texture and tone, stimulates collagen production and flattens the dehydration lines aka wrinkles, resulting in a more youthful and rejuvenated skin.

As always, we will first examine your skin and advise if dermaplaning facial treatment is a suitable option for your specific skin concerns. Then, we will cover your hair with a towel or wrap and proceed with cleansing. We will cleanse your face, neck, and décolleté area
We will pat dry your skin, open a new sterile blade and proceed with a treatment. We will angle the blade at 45°, hold the skin taut, and gently scrape off dead skin cells and vellus hair. Some areas may require an additional pass if we work on skin complexion or scarring.
We may apply a lactic acid after dermaplaning to maximize the results if your skin is not sensitive and can tolerate it. We typically don’t perform any extraction or massage in this facial as it might overstimulate your skin.
We customize this step based on your skin concerns. Most of the time it will be either to hydrate, refresh or brighten the skin. The mask will stay on for about 15-30 minutes and this is your time to relax and listen to our soft ambient music.
After dermaplaning facial treatments, some redness is expected but should subside fairly quickly. We recommend waiting at least 24 hours before going to the gym or sauna after any exfoliating treatment. We also recommend not applying makeup the same day.
