What is the difference between the Signature Facial and other treatments? The main difference is that it is a longer treatment, so we can focus more on the specific areas or problems. The extra time allows us to choose more advanced products that take extra time to work on your skin. Since this is a facial we recommend for first-time clients, we take extra time to analyze your skin and create a specific custom treatment plan.
How long will the treatment take? A full Custom Treatment takes approximately 1h and 15 minutes. This ensures we have enough time to analyze your skin, complete all the steps of the treatment and allocate time for home care recommendations. Then you can spend some time in our waiting room enjoying some tea or coffee. Please arrive on time and let us know about any delays.
How do I book an appointment? There are several ways to book with us. You can use a “Book Now” button to book online. It is the easiest option as it will give you our current availability and you can choose your preferred esthetician. You can also book by calling or texting +1 617-420-7116.
How long will the results of the facial last? You’ll see some immediate results, however, it is recommended that you come in regularly to allow your skin to reach its best genetic potential. It also depends on your home-care routine. We usually say that results are 20% professional care and 80% what you do at home. If you follow our recommendations your skin will maintain the results for weeks after!
Can I combine a signature facial with other treatments? Yes! The most popular add-on is dermaplaning. It will give you the most brightening and anti-aging effect. Or you can transform your appointment into a SPA session with a facial massage and a hand treatment. Clients love scheduling multiple services at once, such as combining lash/brow services with your facial to save time.
Do I need to prepare for my appointment? There is nothing specific you should be doing. If you had a laser treatment or a microneedling session, we usually recommend waiting around 2 weeks, but it will depend on how invasive your treatment was. Clear communication with an esthetician is key. You should also stop products with retinol (Vitamin A serum) for at least 48 hours.
How often should I get a signature facial? Think about this as going to the gym. You don’t go once and expect the results to last forever, correct? You have to come every 4-6 weeks to get the best results and use a suggested home-care routine including cleansers, exfoliants, masks, and serums.
Is there any downtime after? There could be some redness that usually subsides within 24 hours after. We recommend scheduling this treatment 48-72 hours prior to any events. You might experience some discomfort associated with the extraction during the treatment and redness around the extracted pores and temporary sensitivity. But don’t worry! You will still enjoy an overall relaxing experience.
